The Institute of Arts, Music & Science (IAMS) is a nonprofit organization that provides subsidized art, music and science lessons for children in grades K-12. Our mission is to provide a high quality education at an affordable price and to connect aspiring artists with educators who will help them grow and develop their craft. We believe music, art and science are essential for children to learn and we are dedicated to developing those passions.
Currently we offer lessons on the following instruments: piano, violin, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone, guitar, drums and voice. Our facility has seven music studios staffed by highly qualified instructors, many of which come from USC. Art classes we offer are painting, clay and drawing. Our science program is still in development.
IAMS is a member of the Music Teacher’s Association of California. Through the association we provides performance opportunities and skill reviews for students. IAMS has established a name for itself in competitions, our students have received awards and honors at the Southwestern Youth Music Festival, the Walker Competition, and the Cello Society Competition.
